Super Sonic Guitar Build - Part 2

Creating templates and learning how to use the router table.

Broke down and bought a neck template
Cut the body template and sizing it up on the body blank

Shot of the three piece ash body blank

Duplicating the template
I was having a hard time getting micro adjustments out of my spring loaded router. I grabbed my car jack and it works great!

Duplicating the duplicate on to 1/2 mdf

This should be easier to run on the router

Sloppy rough cut with my hand held jigsaw. I should have spent more time getting it closer to the line.

Tape and super glue makes double sided tape substitute

Some pretty big chipout. I should have watched more videos.

Laying out the neck blank

routing the truss rod

Close up shot

Used some wood filler in the chip out areas. I think it came out great for my first try.

Rough cutting the neck. Getting as close as I can to the line.

All cout out

I didn't get a shot where I filed and sanded closer to the line.  This is right after cutout.

Routed out great! Again, not bad for a beginner.

Rounded over the body with a 7/16 round over bit

Looking more like a guitar body
