Storage room floor transformation

Another room in the basement gets a makeover. This time it is the floor in the storage room. This is not the ideal surface to use RockSolid floor coating but it will be much better that what we had. The original floor had been painted and the at some point the peel and stick vinyl floor was added in some parts. It was a mess. The house was built in 1895 and you can see a ghost impression of a coal bin on the floor. There is also a hole in the floor for the water shut off valve. I need to build a new cover for this later.

This is what it looks like after cleaning and preparing the surface.

After: much better.

Next up is to get some nice shelving and to update the lighting.

Update.
Had to cut the top of the shelfs off to fit under the vent and beam.
